Food And Fun Day
It’s no secret we all love food. We love to cook, bake, and eat. Spending the time together planning, shopping, and prepping your meals is a great way to connect with each other. Nothing is quite as satisfying as reaping the rewards of your hard work and effort with a romantic meal for two.
We want you LoveTripper’s to spend an entire day focused on food, fun, and romance. Click the links below to get all the recipes. Let’s get started!
Breakfast In Bed of Course
Is there a better way to start your romantic day than with breakfast in bed together? Let’s kick the day off with some healthy banana oat pancakes in bed. Set the coffee to perk, flip those pancakes, and cut up some fresh strawberries. Head back to bed and feed each other your delicious healthy banana pancakes. Careful with the maple syrup though! You might have to lick up what you spill. *wink wink*
Take a Trip to the Market
Now that the pancakes are done, and you’ve made a mess of your sheets, it’s time to finally get out of bed and start the day. One of our favorite places to spend a day is at the farmers market. Stimulate your senses with all fresh fruit, strong cheeses, and charcuterie as far as the eye can see. The market is the perfect place to do a little shopping for your light lunch and romantic dinner. The best part is all the free samples!
A Light Fresh Salad for Lunch, and A Nap
You’ve probably worked up your appetite again after your trip to the market. We love this spinach salad recipe. It’s light, refreshing, and at this time of year everything is as fresh can be. Enjoy your lunch together, then head back to bed for a nice little cuddle and nap. You’re going to need your energy for later.
Easy Salmon Burgers Recipe for a Romantic Dinner
Now we’re getting to the good stuff. Shake off the fuzz of your afternoon nap, hit the showers, and get dressed in your cutest summer clothes. Just because you’re staying home isn’t an excuse to stay in your pajamas!
The key to a romantic dinner date is to eat something light, yet filling. You don’t want to go comatose after eating a 23oz t-bone. This salmon burger recipe is really easy to make, light, but packed with flavour. We recommend picking up some veggies to grill on the barbeque. We like zucchini, cauliflower, and mushrooms as a side dish. Just cover them in olive oil, salt, and pepper. Then put them on the grill until they have a few nice grill marks. They’ll be full of flavour, quick to cook, and super healthy.
Open a bottle of wine, put on some Bruno Mars, and get cooking together. The prep is part of the intimate fun. Try not to get too distracted in each others arms though or you’ll burn the burgers!
A Delightfully Sexy Dessert
It’s time for the best part of the day! A cool, chocolatey, sexy dessert to share in bed. Try out this Chocolate Cheesecake Mousse. It’s the perfect dessert for those hot muggy summer nights. You can eat it before, during, or after you mess up the sheets again. Now the sheets are covered in maple syrup and chocolate mousse. What a shame!
